Safety First

At American Power Utilities, safety is the foundation of everything we do. Working around energized electrical infrastructure requires discipline, training, and accountability from every member of our team.

Our safety program is designed to protect our employees, our customers, and the communities where we work. APU crews adhere to strict safety procedures, including daily tailboards, JHA's, and ongoing monthly training, while maintaining full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

We operate with a simple principle:

No job is so important or service so urgent that we will not take the time to perform the work safely.

Every employee has the authority and responsibility to stop work if an unsafe condition is identified. Through our Behavior-Based Safety program, field safety observations, and regular safety audits, we actively identify hazards and continuously improve our safety performance.

Quality You Can Depend On

APU’s quality control program ensures that every project is completed in accordance with customer standards, engineering specifications, and industry best practices.

Our quality approach includes:

  • Pre-Construction Planning – Design reviews, constructability assessments, and standards alignment

  • Field Quality Inspections – Real-time inspections and documentation during construction

  • Compliance Monitoring – Regular audits to ensure adherence to project and regulatory requirements

  • Continuous Improvement – Post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and strengthen future performance.

By integrating safety, engineering, and field execution, APU delivers infrastructure built for long-term reliability and performance.
